My Journey in the Product Design Universe

I believe that besides showcasing the executed projects and their processes, a portfolio is also a way to reveal who we are beyond these projects. That’s my goal here: to make this space a place where you can get to know me better, just as much as my work.

It all began when I was 5 years old… Okay, I’m kidding, it’s not that dramatic 😅. But ever since I started my academic and professional life, technology and design have always been intertwined: whether it was my decision to drop out of a Systems Analysis and Development degree due to the frustration of not having any concern for the users at that time; or the web design courses where I finally discovered what design meant, leading me to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. And, as expected, design and technology continued hand in hand during my specialization in User Experience.

Throughout this period, I created numerous institutional websites, e-commerce, worked in an email marketing company, co-founded CrazyFox Studio with two friends (front-end and back-end developers), where we developed websites while studying and applying agile development techniques. I also worked at a food delivery startup and in two design offices. With this varied range of experiences, I was able to apply my knowledge of Visual Design to interface development, as well as research and usability practices in these projects. As soon as the specialization ended in 2018, my journey at SoftDesign began as a UX Designer.

During these last 5 years at Soft, I’ve worked from discovery to delivery on different development projects with multidisciplinary teams, in design consultancies identifying and creating solutions for product problems and their ecosystems, in conceiving new businesses by conducting various research and building journeys. Since 2021, I’ve also been developing as a leader of the UX team. In the upcoming posts, I’ll detail some of these experiences, discussing the problems, processes, results, and learnings.

Until next time! ✌️
